Taylor Swift appears in a new Instagram post shared by her record label, Universal Music Group.

In the snapshot, Swift sports a fresh trim and soft curls.

The pop star celebrated as she topped the charts in the United Kingdom.

Taylor Swift switched up her hair to celebrate her latest career milestone. The singer rocked a fresh chop—and partially revived her debut-era curls—as she topped the charts in the United Kingdom with the re-release of her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl.

Subtitled The Encore, the extended version features four new tracks, including Swift’s latest single, “Patient Zero.” On October 2, the “Karma” artist appeared in an Instagram post shared by her record label, Universal Music Group, which recognized her impressive chart entries.

“Taylor Swift scores her fifth Official Chart Double as #PatientZero and The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore top the UK charts simultaneously,” the caption began. “Taylor’s also the only artist to have clinched three Number 1 singles in 2026 so far.”

In the snapshot, Swift’s dirty blonde hair appeared slightly shorter than the lob she recently sported at the MTV Video Music Awards. She paired her chin-grazing trim, which was styled in loose curls, with a maroon sweater, a black belt, and khaki trousers, completing her look with her go-to red lip and winged liner.

After rocking long hair for some time, Swift debuted a shoulder-length bob in August as she attended Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk’s wedding. In pictures obtained by Deuxmoi, she could be seen mingling with fellow guests at the Gloucestershire, England ceremony.

Although Swift frequently wears her tresses straightened, she was born with a naturally curly head of hair. Her ringlets featured prominently on the covers of her first three albums, including her eponymous 2006 debut.

In a 2019 interview with Elle, Swift explained how her hair texture has changed as she’s gotten older: “From birth, I had the curliest hair and now it is STRAIGHT. It’s the straight hair I wished for every day in junior high. But just as I was coming to terms with loving my curls, they’ve left me. Please pray for their safe return.”
