Penélope Cruz gave her “weekend bob” a summer refresh.

She appeared in a new photo posted by her hairstylist on August 2.

Cruz, 52, sported freshly trimmed blunt fringe.

Penélope Cruz subtly freshened up her “weekend bob” with a French girl twist. On August 2, the 52-year-old actress debuted blunt bangs in a new Instagram photo.

Cruz showcased her fringe—which was trimmed just above her eyebrows—in a picture posted by hairstylist Cherilyn Farris. The Volver star tucked a red V-neck sweater into a pair of light-wash jeans, adding a black belt with a gold buckle.

Last month, Cruz made a candid confession about her relationship with Javier Bardem. While promoting her film The Invite, she revealed that their marriage continues to evolve over a decade in.

“I feel like I’m still learning you know?’ Cruz told People. “And I am with somebody that I’ve known for 33 years.”

“I really know that person, but it’s like, is there a day where you really get to know yourself? No. So the same with your partner,” she said.

The couple met on the set of the film Jamón Jamón in 1992, but they didn’t start dating until years later. They tied the knot in 2010, welcoming their children in 2011 and 2013, respectively.

Speaking to Porter in a separate interview published on July 6, Cruz explained how she and her husband approach parenting two teenagers.

“My parents had me so young that I grew up being able to talk to them about everything,” Cruz said. “I want the same thing in my relationship with my kids. To create a safe environment where they feel that they can ask all the questions and share whatever they need to. And I will listen without judgement.”

Cruz went on to share how social media has informed how they’re raising their kids, Leo and Luna.

“As parents, you have to work much harder to create the right atmosphere at home,” she explained. “It is so difficult to be a teenager right now, what the boys are being fed, what they are being tricked into thinking. It is a type of manipulation that confuses even adults. With teenagers or children, it is a very dangerous weapon.”
