Kim Kardashian was the subject of a new profile in The Sunday Times’ Style Magazine published on October 3.

In the interview, the Skims co-founder opened up about how many nannies she employs to help her with her four children that she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.

As a parent to North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, she added, “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want.”

In a new interview with The Sunday Times’ Style Magazine, Kim Kardashian gave readers insight into how she gets it all done—including juggling a busy career alongside having primary custody of the four children she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.

In the piece published on October 3, the Skims mogul said that she has a team of five nannies to help her care for North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7. One of the nannies is always on rotation with her when her children are in her care, she explained.

Though she has extra hands on deck, Kardashian is an extremely involved parent—she’s there with her children every night for dinner, and she takes her kids to and from school each day. “I think I am an intermediate-strict parent,” the reality star said. “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want. I read books with the kids every night.”

During a 2024 appearance on the “What In the Winkler?!” podcast, Kardashian told longtime friend Zoe Winkler that she sometimes feels “alone” in raising her brood, despite having “great support systems.” Noting that she’s “basically raising four kids by [herself],” she added that it can be challenging in the middle of the night when her children are sleeping in her bed and “kicking” and “crying.”

“People will always jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’” she continued.

Of North specifically—who is pursuing a music career of her own and is more and more emerging into the spotlight as of late—Kardashian told The Sunday Times, “I do worry about it. Each kid does what they’re comfortable with. So, my little ones come around when I’m filming but they don’t really do storylines. North loves it a little bit more than the rest.”

“I hold her back,” Kardashian added. “All she wants to do is forward-facing projects. And so it’s like us really kind of trying to savor those moments and not doing everything that comes her way, so we can really make sure that we manage it the right way. And with her, since it’s more music-related, that is something that her dad and I have better communication about. We make sure that we’re aligned and that she’s in projects that we both approve.”

The All’s Fair star said, “It’s something I talk to my kids about constantly, about hard work, never taking things for granted, always having gratitude. I lead by example. I’m really open with them about my work, all of the hard work that I put into my law studies, and they’re proud. I think that you can have a big life and still have that spirit in you. But it is more challenging.”

When it comes to work, “I love overdelivering,” Kardashian said. “Having that feeling of, maybe someone feels that they have this opinion or this idea of me, but it really doesn’t bother me. I am not affected by it. I have my blinkers on and I do what I want to do. If anything, it just pushes me to want to be better and, you know, to do me.”
