Gypsy Rose Blanchard is remembering Ken Urker.
On Friday, Oct. 2, Blanchard, 35, paid tribute to Urker on Instagram — one day after his death at age 34.
“You will always be my greatest love story,” she captioned a post. “You will be remembered and loved forever. ❤️”
The post featured clips of Blanchard and Urker from over the years, as well as an image of Urker smiling at the camera in a restaurant. Blanchard also posted a statement about Urker to her Instagram Stories, which she previously shared exclusively with PEOPLE.
She described him as a devoted father to their daughter, Aurora, and the love of her life. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase,” she noted.
“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit. The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure,” she added. “I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment.”

“Above all,” she wrote, Urker loved their child. “She is a beautiful reflection of his enduring spirit, and through her, a part of him will always remain with us,” she concluded. “I will make sure she grows up knowing how deeply her father loved her and who he was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him.”

A source close to the family previously confirmed to PEOPLE that Urker was found dead at his home in Raceland, La., on Thursday, Oct. 1, on his 34th birthday. Blanchard told PEOPLE she believed he overdosed and didn’t know “if it was intentional or not,” adding that Urker “was not in a good state of mind lately.”
The Lafourche Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a residence in Raceland at approximately 6:15 p.m. local time, where he was found dead upon arrival. An investigation into Urker’s death remains ongoing. TMZ was first to report the news.
“I’m in disbelief. I can’t think,” Blanchard said. “I’ve screamed until my throat burns.”
Blanchard and Urker first connected while Blanchard was incarcerated for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. He proposed in October 2018, and they reunited in August 2019 after calling off the engagement. After they went their separate ways, Blanchard married Ryan Anderson and announced her separation from Anderson four months after her release in December 2023.
Blanchard reconciled with Urker in April 2024, and they welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, in December 2024.
