Lately, Carrie Underwood has been sporting a different hair color than usual, rocking a light brown shade that looks great on her. But after fans saw the singer's latest social media update, many are hoping that she's gone back to her signature bright blonde hair.

On Feb. 6, Underwood shared some excitement for the upcoming Super Bowl this Sunday, sharing photos of herself dressed in a one-shouldered dark blue dress with sparkling heels. But many fans' eyes were immediately drawn to another detail in the snap, which was her long, bright blonde hair.

Underwood captioned the update, "Gearing up for the biggest night in the @nfl. 🏈✨Only champions make it this far. #SuperBowl #SundayNightFootball #WaitingAllDayForSundayNight." She credited photographer Danny Ventrella, who took the images of Underwood for NBC Sports.

Many fans shared compliments and notes sharing their own hype for the big game in the comments, such as one who said, "LOVE IT!!! You look gorg. I really don’t care who wins. Glad you’re starting us off though!"

"Complete perfection," declared another, as similar comments read, "Absolutely stunning," and "Looking so beautiful."

But a common thread in the replies was fans celebrating the bright blonde hair Underwood had in the photo, thinking it was a new snap.

Unfortunately for these fans, the photos Underwood shared in her latest update are actually old pictures, with one from the photoshoot appearing alongside a Billboard article in July 2025 about the American Idol judge's work with Sunday Night Football.

While the "Before He Cheats" singer might not be back to blonde yet, she'll likely return to her signature blonde hair at some point, so fans should keep an eye on Underwood's ever-changing style.
