Charlie Puth canceled his June 6 concert in Orlando, hours before he was meant to go onstage for his Whatever's Clever! tour
"I've been sick for the last few days and am now being instructed to rest or else risk canceling more dates on this tour," he wrote on social media
The Addition Financial Arena later stated that the show would not be rescheduled for a later date
Florida fans will have to wait a little longer before they can see Charlie Puth again.
On Saturday, June 6, the singer-songwriter, 34, announced that he would be canceling his concert in Orlando that night due to illness.
"I am so devastated to do this, but I have to cancel tonight's show," Puth wrote on his Instagram Stories. "I've been sick for the last few days and am now being instructed to rest or else risk canceling more dates on this tour."
"Performing for you all each night means everything to me, and you all deserve the best," he continued. "I'm heartbroken, but I physically am unable to perform. Without a voice, I can't give you guys the show you all deserve. I'm so sorry, this was not an easy decision to make, but I hope to see you all soon when I am well again."

Soon after, the Addition Financial Arena clarified that Puth's Whatever's Clever! tour stop would not be rescheduled in Orlando, encouraging Orlando ticket holders to refer to their "original point of purchase for refunds."
The four-time Grammy nominee is scheduled to return to the stage on June 9 at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater.
The "See You Again" singer's illness comes a few months after he opened up about how he's been living a more genuine life by avoiding alcohol and no longer pretending to be someone he's not.

"I don't drink at all," he told Rolling Stonein January. "I think it clouds my judgment."
"It's hard to describe," he continued. "But after years of surrounding myself with the wrong things and saying the wrong things, it's profound when it just all comes to a screeching halt one day at 30 years old in New York City."
Two months later, Puth welcomed his first baby, a boy named Jude, with wife Brooke Sansone Puth.
"Hey Jude 🩵 3.13.26," the couple wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the infant wearing a blue-and-white striped onesie and tucked into a white blanket.
Other snaps captured Puth holding his son, a handful of Polaroid pictures showing the couple holding their baby in the hospital and a few close-ups of Jude's nose and hand.
