Caitlin Clark had barely finished processing the Indiana Fever's WNBA season conclusion when ESPN reached out, thrusting the basketball phenomenon back into the national and international media limelight less than 24 hours following playoff elimination.

Clark will swap her Fever uniform for the College GameDay stage this Saturday on ESPN. The Fever guard is filling in as the celebrity guest picker when ESPN's roving program arrives in Iowa City.

The WNBA sensation, who recently made her feelings clear on playing games overseas, will appear at the desk for a contest between Ohio State and her cherished Iowa across all ESPN platforms from 9 a.m. to noon ET. Clark excelled for Iowa from 2020 to 2024, demolished the NCAA Division I scoring record, and was picked No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Fever.

She continues to hold the NCAA's all-time scoring lead with 3,951 points. Indiana was defeated in Las Vegas on Thursday, dropping Game 3 of its three-game series to the Aces 94-83 and concluding its playoff campaign as a No. 6 seed, after certain fans alleged the game was rigged in the Aces' favor.

Clark completed Game 3 with 18 points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four blocks in 37 minutes. She tallied 11 points in the opening quarter, but the Aces surged ahead behind A'ja Wilson's 36 points and 10 rebounds.

The loss concluded a series where Clark posted averages of 20 points, four rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game. Her standout moment arrived in Game 2 when she delivered 27 points alongside 15 assists in Indiana's 99-89 victory.

Clark's Game 2 showing helped push the series to a deciding contest, while also establishing her as the first player in league history to post at least 25 points and 15 assists in a playoff matchup.

The WNBA guard secured AP All-WNBA First Team recognition alongside Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell and claimed the AP Comeback Player of the Year award following an injury-plagued 2025 marked by quad, groin, and ankle setbacks.

The Fever guard has taken part in numerous sports-media crossover appearances since entering the professional ranks in 2024. Clark has also competed in the LPGA pro-am The Annika event in both 2024 and 2025.

Her most notable appearance came on Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast last December, where she discussed her Nike signature sneaker launch, which released Friday.

NBC Sports appointed her as a special contributor for Basketball Night in America, joining Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady to provide pregame commentary for Sunday Night Basketball.
