Reyes reflected on the “magical” energy of the show in a new podcast interview
A former Nickelodeon child star is recounting a special moment with the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
Alisa Reyes appeared on the network’s All That, a Saturday Night Live-like sketch comedy show for kids that propelled a number of its young cast members — including Kel Mitchell, Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes — to stardom.
In a recent interview on Taboo’s Comics & Kicks, Reyes spoke about some of her favorite memories from the show.

Asked if she had a favorite musical guest from her time on the show, Reyes said, “TLC really left an imprint. They sang the theme song on All That.”
“And honestly, I’ll never forget — I did a sketch in the pilot with them called ‘Leap Froggy Frog’ with Kenan Thompson, who played a frog, and I played Angie B from Yo! MTV Raps or something like that,” Reyes said. “And TLC performed with us, and they had little things in their hair, these little scrunchies, and Left Eye gave me one, and I’ll never forget. I saved it.”

She continued: “I still have it, you know, especially after she passed.”
“I feel like during that time frame, the vibration was so magical, which is, I feel, so needed in this day and age right now,” Reyes added of the magic of the show.

Lopes died in a car accident on April 25, 2002, in Honduras, where she was doing charity work for a child development center. She was the only fatality in a crash involving a car carrying seven people. She was 30.
In addition to singing the All That theme song, TLC was known for 1990s hits like “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs.”
Following All That, Reyes moved on to the Disney Channel with the cartoon series The Proud Family. She lent her voice to LaCienega Boulevardez, the longtime frenemy of protagonist Penny Proud. After the show ended in 2005, Reyes went on to guest star in episodes of Boston Public, ER, Six Feet Under and NYPD Blue.
