Alexandra Daddario, Daveed Diggs, Josh Gad and Ashley Park play two couples whose lives are thrown into chaos when they take a vacation together in their new movie.
On Tuesday, April 7, Vertical Entertainment shared the trailer for the foursome's upcoming movie Couples Weekend exclusively with PEOPLE. The movie sees Daddario, 40, and Diggs, 44, portray a couple who set off with another couple (Gad, 45, and Park, 34) to a snowy, remote cabin over the holiday season to celebrate New Year's together.
When Gad and Daddario's characters go for a walk together one morning, a tree happens to fall in the woods, giving the pair a clear view of their respective spouses hooking up in secret through a window.
"Trapped in a cozy cabin by a blizzard, two couples ring in the New Year with a mysterious cocktail that strips away their inhibitions, turning their romantic getaway into chaos with a showdown of secrets, betrayals, and rapidly shifting loyalties," reads an official synopsis for the movie.

Couples Weekend made its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival under the title A Tree Fell in the Woods. The movie is the feature directorial debut from writer-director Nora Kirkpatrick, who previously wrote for television shows like Daisy Jones & The Six and directed episodes of The Goldbergs and The Coop. (Eagle-eyed The Office fans will remember her as Esther, from the show's final season, and she also portrays Kellie in Shrinking.)

"Things are seen that were not meant to be seen and truth-telling enters the picture when an unidentifiable and slightly psychedelic drink is drunk in this entertaining dramedy about the lies we tell ourselves about ourselves and how to untangle them all," reads a Tribeca festival synopsis.

Daddario most recently appeared on the big screen in 2024's I Wish You All the Best. Gad, meanwhile, most recently starred in Adulthood and held a voice role in Zootopia 2. Diggs most recently appeared in Their Town and The Saviors, and he also costars in Olivia Wilde's upcoming movie I Want Your Sex. Park most recently appeared on the big screen in the 2024 musical adaptation of Mean Girls.
