Alec Baldwin has one important message he wants to share with all of his children.
The 30 Rock star, 68, recently chatted withE! News at the premiere of the documentary Gaslit, where he shared the one major message he wants to instill in his eight children.
Alec, who shares seven children with his wife Hilaria Baldwin and a daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger, told the outlet that he wants to make sure that all of them have "hope."
"Well, for a while, I thought I just wanted [them] to push my wheelchair. I say I want you guys to work out and get strong cuz you're going to be pushing the old man in my chair before long," he jokingly replied, before continuing, "But, I want my kids to grow up having hope because right now it's more hopeless than I've ever seen."
"I mean, kids have a latent learning curve. They get it," he added. "It might not be on the tip of their tongue for their daily rhetoric, but they get it. And ... we've got to continue to fight to prove to our children that you got to keep fighting. You've got to have hope, and you've got to keep fighting to take the reins of power in our society and that responsibility, that awesome responsibility away, from people who are going to abuse it."
Alec shares daughters, Carmen Gabriela, 12, María Lucía Victoria, 5, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 3, as well as sons Rafael Thomas, 10, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 9, Romeo Alejandro David, 8, and Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 5, with his wife. The actor is also a dad to daughter Ireland, 30.
Over the holidays this year, the Baldwins enjoyed some family fun in the snow together. Alec and Hilaria shared a joint post on Instagram showing them enjoying the snow with their children. The video, set to Chuck Berry's "Run Rudolph Run," showed the tight-knit family hitting the slopes on a sledding adventure.
"We sledded 🛷…we ate….snow 💩" Hilaria captioned the post, followed by several hashtags including "family" and "funny."
Hilaria followed up her initial post by poking fun at her husband for falling off the sled into the snow.

The hilarious video, which she shared on Instagram the following day, started with Alec being pushed down the hill on a tube. Eventually, Hilaria could be seen running out of the way as Alec flipped off the tube and got a face full of snow. The video, set to Alicia Keys' "Fallin'," ended with Alec on the ground as text popped on the screen saying, "Worry not, he got up just fine."
"No one was harmed in the making of this video 🫣," she captioned the post.

This previous holiday season, the Baldwin family got a little bigger. The proud mom of seven shared in an Instagram post on Thursday, Dec. 25, that her family celebrated Christmas with a new special pet — a puppy husky named Laila, whom they recently welcomed after the death of their dog Dama.
Other photos showed the kids opening their presents and showing off their Christmas gifts, which included a Barbie for María and a Bluey toy for Ilaria. Additional shots showed special family moments during the holiday season, including two of their daughters putting makeup on each other and María rolling out some dough in what appeared to be a Moana costume.
"Merry Christmas y Feliz Navidad ❤️💚❤️💚!," Hilaria captioned the post. "We send you so much love 🎄🌟."

"We lost our dog, Dama, in the fall…she was over 13 years and had a wonderful life, but it was still so sad," she continued. "We can never replace her, but the kids very much wanted a puppy. So my 'what's one more?' personality said yes and we'd like to introduce you to Laila 💜."
She added that they "love her already" and the rest of their other pets "do too," especially "Paolo the cat," who "has adopted her, just as he does with the other pups." She jokingly added, "The only issue is taking turns holding her 😂 @mycrazypomskys 🦄."
